Strain Origin
This variety originated from a town called Canovanas which is on the northeast side of Puerto Rico. It was discovered growing after a hurricane in a piece of cow dung, which was recently moistened by the rain. After flooding retreated, residents claimed to have found hundreds of these in their area. Ever since then, it has become a fan-favorite for Puerto Ricans & mycologists alike. Difficulty
Puerto Rico Cubensis is considered one of the easier strains to work with & research. For context, it is on a similar level to golden teacher and to B+, and is much easier than Penis Envy or Tidal Wave.
Spore Features
The spores of Puerto Rico mushrooms are dark purplish to black, and sub ellipsoid on 4-spored basidia. Caps are generally dark spore printers and 40-60mm in diameter. This strain provides ample research material. 
Rarity 
Puerto Rico is relatively common strain, but is quite difficult to find with true purity. Many vendors will give you unviable spores, or the wrong strain all together in an attempt to trick you & offload unwanted inventory. We’ve been supplying these since ’08 and have a team of mycologists ensuring the purity of every batch. This is definitely a unique Puerto Rican strain to add to your collection!
